Warren County Wanderings

“This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.” – Elmer Davis, an American news reporter, author, director of the United States Office of War Information during World War II and a Peabody Award recipient.

We proudly recognize and celebrate National Veterans Awareness week and salute those who have gone before and who will come after us to keep our country free. This week's top photo is of the Purple Heart Memorial in front of the Warren County Courthouse and next to the county War Memorial in Belvidere, a serene spot in our county seat where you can pause, reflect and remember.

Seems we’re in between holidays so our calendar isn’t as jam packed though there are plenty of events this weekend and in Plan Ahead. This might be time for a breather and enjoy something low key like some winery music or a tour of a historic museum.

Whatever you choose, Happy Veterans Day and Happy Wanderings!
