The Christmas countdown continues, and there are still plenty of opportunities to visit with Santa (remember to scroll down to "Community Corner"), shop local, partake in festive crafty decor classes, check out live music (bonus if you wear an "ugly" holiday sweater), go on group hikes, and more.

Extra-special highlights include Hope's annual Moravian Christmas, The Watergap Singers Holiday Concertand perennial favorite The Nutcracker presented by The New Jersey Civic Youth Ballet at Centenary Stage Company.

Hackettstown will be ringing in the New Year with its third annual M&M lentil drop, and surrounding businesses will stay open late, including Living Spirits Distillery and Czig Meister Brewing Co.

We expect this to be our last Wanderings of the year, so we wish everyone a Happy Hanukkah, Happy Christmas, Happy and Healthy New Year, and, as always, Happy Wanderings! Peace out!

An immersive Christmas murder mystery experience that promises an evening of excitement and entertainment. Begin with an indulgent wine tasting featuring a selection of 8 exquisite wines, followed by a three-course meal.

Santa Jason is coming to town for a photo session at the Blairstown Diner. 

Hope's annual Moravian Christmas features 1,500 luminaries lining the whole village. Walking tours (guided and self-guided) for a fee. Other activities include the Festival of Trees and refreshments at the Community Center, Putz replica of the Nativity Story at the Distillery, and a Live Nativity in the barn.

Wear your favorite ugly sweater, and Czig Meister will provide live music by The Tonighters, a local food vendor, and their signature Holiday Cookie Flight will be tapped up and ready to go.

Join Tiptons for food, drinks, wear your ugly Christmas sweater and you may win a prize! Harmony Garage Band plays from 9pm - 12am and there might even be a visit from Santa himself!
 

Czig Meister's is hosting a Holiday Pop-Up Market along with the West End Farmers' Market featuring gifts for everyone.

Create a long-lasting festive tree for your holiday table using fresh boxwood, holly and assorted winter greens. Decorate with pine cones, ribbon and berries, with a completed height of approximately 18”.

Please bring clippers.

Walk-ins are welcome for a walk-through of the museum, decorated for the season, from 2- 4pm. (Sorry, Victorian Candlelight tours are all booked.) Bring your family for a visit with Victorian Santa!

Community Corner

Help make the Footbridge Skate & Art Park a reality by bidding on some great items during this live auction. Many companie and organizations donated so take a look and make a bid!

Fun for levels, ages 12 and older! Students are $5, $15/person in advance, $20 at the door. Held in the school's cafeteria with refreshments available for purchase. Dress code: Western casual.

Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church is hosting a Santaville Fair and Breakfast with Santa. There are two formal seatings, 8-9:15 and 9:30-10:45, and complimentary holiday crafts following the meal.

Help someone in need this holiday season! Santa is partnering with First Hope Bank in Blairstown to stuff the fire truck with non-perishable foods items. You can take photos with Santa, enjoy hot cocoa and live music. Santa arrives promptly at 9:30am!

Are you passionate about environmental issues? Do you want to learn more and make a difference in your community?

Good Will Fire Company received a call from the Big Man and said he'd be coming to Belvidere Saturday, December 20 to spread some holiday cheer! Listen for the sirens to come out and say hi to Santa and his elves!

Washington Borough's Green Team will be leading hikes through the Shabbecong Mountain Preserve, an 80-acre piece of land owned by the town. Join them the first and third Sundays in December, January and February. Meet at the end of Nunn Ave trailhead.
