Warren County Wanderings

“Trick or treat, bag of sweets, ghosts are walking down the street.” - Unknown

Halloween parties and parades are back, all over the county! In keeping with tradition, we are sharing a photo of the annual Halloween display in front of  Yeager's Floor Covering on Belvidere Road in Lopatcong Township - which always puts up a spectacular exhibit - and advises it has more than 100 carpet remnants in stock! Is that a Grateful Dead concert? The audience and performers pictured seem to be enjoying a spooky serenade, no bones about it!

Aside from all the Halloween merriment, Oxford Emergency Squad is celebrating its 50th Anniversary by hosting an exciting day at Furnace Lake.

If you still haven’t picked the perfect pumpkin, or taken that hayride to the apple orchard, this weekend marks the unofficial end of Fall Farm Fun, which will give way to what is colloquially known as “The Holidays”, and all the activities of the upcoming season. (Check out the Plan Ahead section if you don’t believe us.)

So stay safe if you go trick-or-treating, Happy Halloween, and Happy Wanderings!
