Kick off the summer with a self-guided tour through Pohatcong's gardens presented by the Pohatcong History and Heritage Society. The driving tour allows for social distancing out in the open, fresh air of the countryside. The Garden tour will start at the historic Shimer Mansion, the main preservation effort of the society.

Join RVC Trustee Sharon Wander for a free, guided nature walk to explore the wonders of the meadows at Dark Moon Preserve. Dark Moon is an easy, mile-long 2-hour walk through open fields with lots of flowering Common Milkweed, mainly concentrating on butterflies, but open to anything that walks, crawls, or flies by.
Pack your lunch and a blanket and head to the farm – oh, and don’t forget your teddy bear! We’re so excited to host our first Teddy Bear Picnic! After lunch we’ll read a book, head to the barnyard to introduce you to all our favorite animals, and we’ll pick some berries, too!
