To Honor and Serve November 7 - 23
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." – John F. Kennedy
With Veterans Day approaching, we honor all those who have served, and are currently serving, in our nation's military. Thank you for your service.
To mark the occasion, the public is invited to attend a ceremony celebrating National Veterans and Military Families Month combined with a Distinguished Military Service Award presentation, held at the Warren County War Memorial in Belvidere this weekend. Our cover photo depicts a prior veterans recognition ceremony at the site.
That isn’t the only one; scroll down to our Community Corner section for additional veterans events.
Please enjoy this issue, which has a nice variety of activities before we hurdle headlong into the holiday season. Take a breath, enjoy the foliage, thank a veteran, and Happy Wanderings!
