Warren County Wanderings

Starting Septermber 15, 2021

"Live your life like a butterfly. Take rest sometimes, but never forget to fly." – Anonymous

This beautiful photo, taken by Charlie Fineran, calls to mind the monarch’s rest before its journey to Mexico. Once seen in abundance, now they may grace your yard only here and there. Another sign our seasons are changing from summer to fall and to appreciate the present moment.

The calendar is filling up with happenings around the county. This weekend in Washington is Festival in the Borough, a day jam-packed with music, vendors and food! Four Sisters Winery is kicking off fall with Harvest Weekends complete with live music and apple picking. Flowerland Growers, Well- Sweep Herb Farm and Donaldson Farms are hosting fall décor creations workshops and edible plant recipes. And as always, the music is jammin’ all weekend!

Congratulations to Diane W. of Belvidere, winner of the prize offered by Explore Warren at Belvidere Heritage Day - an apple picking activity as well as a variety of apple-related goodies generously donated by Mackey’s Orchard. To all of our other visitors that day, better luck next time! And a warm welcome to our new subscribers.

Remember - never forget to fly, and Happy Wanderings!
