Summer is hanging on, with a warm, sunny weekend ahead, perfect for stepping back in time with Belvidere's Victorian Days, attending an outdoor event or dining al fresco. Read on for ideas! Also, note that tickets are now on sale for the Jazz at Rutherfurd Hall concert series, which brings a variety of outstanding jazz musicians to the historic mansion in Allamuchy for once-a-month concerts, with discounts available for buying multiple shows. Coming Up

A vocal ensemble from St. Petersburg, Russia, LYRA introduces musical heritage of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as traditions of Russian folk music to all people taking great interest in Russia, its history and culture. Call 908-818-9661 for more information.

Come enjoy an evening concert in the Gazebo at the Catherine Dickson Hofman branch of the Warren County Library and listen to some traditional vintage jazz performed on vintage instruments. Musical selections from Gershwin, Shaw and Porter, to name a few. Suitable for all ages.

Step back in time! Belvidere Victorian Days is a celebration of the town's Victorian heritage. With over 200 historical sites, spend the day realizing the ambiance of yesteryear.

With the garden at its peak and an abundance of herbs – it’s time to harvest; come to Well-Sweep Herb Farm to learn the basics on how to make your own herbal condiments. This class will feature the creation of two oils, three vinegars and a pesto to take home.

National Grandparents Day celebrated at Villa Milagro Vineyards

It’s National Grandparents weekend.  If you are a Grandparent come on out to celebrate all that you do for your kids and theirs!  The winery will have delicious wines to sample served with tasty tidbits. Vineyard and winery tours at 2:30 and 3 p.m. 

Themed food specials, including jerk wings and jerk shrimp pasta at Top of the Green Restaurant at Apple Mountain. Live music by Davey and the Waverunners from 6-9 pm. Margarita and sangria specials.

Join certified Yoga Teacher Kate McGuiness for a series of six classes - on Sundays, Sept. 11, 18 & 25, October 2, 9 & 16 - for a one hour, all levels Hatha Yoga class. Classes begin at 8:30 am.

Morris Canal Bread Lock Park is open daily until dusk, but the museum is open the second Sunday of the month. Lock 7 West near New Village was known as "Bread Lock" because the store at the end of the lock sold goods to the boatmen, including homemade bread and pies.

Warren County conducts its annual Patriot Day observance, honoring all victims and residents of Warren County who perished in the Terrorist Attacks of 9/11/01 as well as Warren County Emergency Service personnel who have died in the line of duty.

The Rock Creek Tavern, Warren County's newest spot for night life, hosts "The Karl Jam" open mic/jam session every Thursday night. Running from 7-11 p.m., The Karl Jam is hosted by Karl Dietel, a longtime supporter of local music and one of the best keyboard players around.

Centenary Stage Company will be holding local, non-equity open auditions for their upcoming holiday production of Disney’s “Mary Poppins” on September 10 & 11 from 6 pm – 10 pm. Actor/Singers will be seen on a first-come first served basis from 6 pm-8 pm.

Jazz at Rutherfurd Hall kicks off its fifth season on Sunday, September 18, with two of America’s great jazz pianists, Bill Mays and Ted Rosenthal. Both of these talented artists will be backed by a solid rhythm section with Steve Varner on bass and Steve Johns on drums.
