The last few weeks of summer are flying by, as swiftly as the Great Blue Heron that Kent Sweigert photographed a few days ago in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area in Warren County. This week's Wanderings is particularly full, with plenty of options for you to enjoy, so read on, and Happy Wanderings!

A mix of classic rock, southern rock, country, pop, and everything in between. If you're up for a night of dancing, you've found your band! 

This central NJ cover band plays high energy danceable rock 'n' roll music from the '70s, '80s and '90s.

We will spend the time collecting seed from the field, processing kale seed, tomato seed, onion seeds, flowers, garlic, to name a few. There will be plenty of time for discussion. You will leave with enthusiasm and confidence to practice seed saving on your own. No experience is necessary!

The PVTC, a Friends Organization of the Kittatinny Valley State Park, will host a 4-5 mile hike along the Paulinskill Valley Trail.  The trail is cinder-based which provides easy, level walking.

It's not a typical who done it! It's the guests in the audience that create a witty, weaving story line. As the plot thickens, the victim falls prey and with deductive reasoning detectives investigate to reveal the murderer! Who do you think did it?

There has been a murder at the winery and everyone is a suspect - including you!​ The mystery will begin at 7pm with a dinner of garden salad, pasta bar (including various pastas and sauces, all vegetarian) around 8pm, followed by Cozy Cabin Bake Shoppe cupcakes for dessert.

It's $5 per player as teams of 2 to 6 people compete for the prize: the winning team takes the pot (no house split). The lunch menu will be available and they are BYOB friendly.

 

Playing classic rock from the '60s to the '90s, Southern rock, and they've been know to roll out some Willie, Hank Jr., Brooks and Dunn, or Waylon. The Snake Oil Willie Band is seasoned, professional musicians with many years of dedication to their craft.
