That said, the weather forecast looks quite pleasant for the upcoming three-day weekend (the drops are supposed to stop dropping in the wee hours of Thursday morning). Labor Day is called the "unofficial end of summer" because it marks the end of the cultural summer season. This weekly summer music series, held at Veterans Rally Point at Lopatcong Municipal Park, continues. Bring a chair, and soft drinks/snacks if you like. Funding has been made possible, in part, by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of Land Preservation.

UACNJ provides free public programs at the astronomy club in Jenny Jump State Forest from April through October on Saturday evenings. The astronomy presentation begins at 8pm and is followed by stargazing on the observatory's telescopes until 10:30pm, weather permitting.
