Come listen to Lehigh Valley’s newest cover band, comprised of seasoned veterans of the music scene with decades of experience between them!

On Sunday, October 6, the 8th NJ Volunteer Infantry will be camped at Shippen Manor in Oxford, New Jersey, from 11am to 4pm. Come out and learn a little bit about the life of the typical Union volunteer infantry soldier who served in the Army of the Potomac during the Civil War.

Taste an assortment of locally-grown apples and cider pressed on-site. The 15th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry, Company B will demonstrate a period encampment. Winterberries Yarn Shop will provide a spinning demonstration and pop up yarn shop. Quilt display, talks on antique clocks and on river-friendly farming, activities for kids including making corn-husk dolls, live music from The Ministers of Apollo performing Irish/English/American music of the 1780s to pre-Civil War era, and lots more. A special art exhibit "Landscapes in Peril" will include work that depicts precious local landscapes, particularly those threatened by a proposed DOT Rock Fall mitigation project through the scenic Delaware Water Gap. The festival is free, rain or shine.

Anker is a singer/songwriter from East Windsor, NJ. He Plays Acoustic Rock, Americana and Folk and is influenced by Collective Soul, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and John Mellencamp.

Gerrie Scioscio of the Warren County Library will teach a 4-week Intermediate class on consecutive Sunday afternoons. You will increase your knowledge and skills by learning various approaches and patterns. At the end of the program, you will have a finished project to take home.

The Music at St. Luke’s series continues with the return of the Lehigh Valley Chorus, “The Lehigh Valley’s Award Winning All Female Barbershop Chorus.” Their motto is “Spreading joy through women’s barbershop harmony since 1958." They will perform at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6.

Kris Ensiminger of Humdinger Alpacas will teach a three-week Beginner class on consecutive Wednesday evenings. Learn the basics of knit and crochet and bring a finished project home with you.

Join us as we celebrate our fall season with family fun for all ages at our Fall Festival Weekends! Get lost in our interactive corn maze or visit to look for the perfect pumpkin.

This year's corn maze pays tribute to the Huey helicopter, the workhorse of the Vietnam War. The maze is open 11am-6pm Wednesday to Sunday each week through November 11 (call for a Monday or Tuesday visit).

Community Corner

The Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County (DASACC) hosts its fourth annual Oktoberfest at Hawk Pointe Golf Club.  Doors open at 6pm, with dinner being served at 6:45pm.
