Halloween is Thursday, but you will find plenty of opportunities to keep celebrating the holiday throughout the weekend! And journeys abound in this week's edition of Warren County Wanderings. Like a journey into the spirit world at Shimer Mansion, or an orienteering journey atop Kittatinny Ridge, or journeys into the past with museum tours and historical talks. Coming Up

Get dressed up and into the "Spirit of Halloween"! Hometown Halloween is family fun for kids of all ages featuring a kid's costume contest and a pet costume contest. Gather in the Pocket Park by the town clock at 44 E. Washington Ave. Prizes awarded at 4:30pm.

The public is welcome to come and watch artists at work at the Arboretum! The artworks made that day will be exhibited Nov and Dec 2019 at the new M Galleries PNA (the building right in the Arboretum).

Kids from pre-k to elementary school are invited to join us in making a harvest-themed craft on the front lawn of the Manor. This is a rain or shine event. If it rains, we’ll be set up on the lower-level front porch. All children must be accompanied by their adult(s).

Come to Rutherfurd Hall to create for a cause while you learn, step-by-step, how to paint this Van Gogh November-inspired sunflower! Proceeds will benefit The River Walk Project-to provide an upgraded walkway for our residents along the scenic Musconetcong River.

"Doughboys" was the nickname given to the American Expeditionary Force that took part in the later years of World War I. The presentation by John Torkos is free and open to the public, followed by refreshments.

This year's corn maze pays tribute to the Huey helicopter, the workhorse of the Vietnam War. The maze is open 11am-6pm Wednesday to Sunday each week through November 11 (call for a Monday or Tuesday visit).

You can learn technology at any age! Warren Hills High School is offering free technology help for community members to work with our eager student volunteers!

Dress up and bring the whole family for a fun evening filled with games, crafts, food, candy and prizes!

There will be lots of vehicles, free hot dogs. Great entertainment by “Into the Sunset Entertainment and Photography”. Something for everyone, especially the kids!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. YOU are needed at the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County, DASACC for short.
