Warren County Wanderings

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." -William Arthur Ward

We're feeling thankful this week, thankful to have such a beautiful county to share with residents and visitors alike, thankful to have places to gather with family and friends to dine and to be entertained, thankful to have some time to enjoy it all. Read on for ideas on how to make the most of these precious hours! Thanksgiving weekend also is the time many people start their preparations for the December holidays, with shopping on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, and Warren County's downtowns are ready to welcome you to their stores. And it's also the start of the choose-and-cut Christmas Tree season, a great time to make family memories by visiting a farm to pick the perfect pine or the finest fir to decorate your home. Check out our list of tree farms here in the "Christmas Tree Belt" to plot your destination - many of them have handcrafted gifts, ornaments, wreaths and other decorations, and offer extras like hot cider and cookies. Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy Wanderings!
