Warren County Wanderings

"On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free." - Dan Lipinski, former U.S. Congressman

This is National Veterans Awareness Week and with Veterans Day tomorrow, let's take a moment to thank all who served! See the More Things To Do section below for some events where you can thank them in person. Veterans Rally Point in Lopatcong Township Municipal Park is this week's cover photo. You could head to Shippen Manor on Sunday where they host Civil War Day and learn more about life during that conflict. You also could fall in love with Warren wines here in the federally-designated Warren Hills Viticultural Area, and we've got a flight of cultural events and live music for you to enjoy. Happy Wanderings!

More Things to Do

Veterans Day occurs on November 11 every year in honor of the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I, known as Armistice Day. In 1954, President Dwight D. - White Township: Post 528 ceremony at 11am in the Brookfield community off County Road 519.

- Phillipsburg: Post 457 ceremony at 11am in Shappell Park.
