"Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn." - Elizabeth Lawrence (1904-1985), U.S. garden writer
What better place to watch those leaves turn than here in Warren County? With plenty of parkland and open space, and country lanes to take you there, find the time to unwind. Maybe you'll see an eagle like this one Kent Sweigert spotted and photographed along Old Mine Road in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. And since the bald eagle is our national emblem, it's a good time to remind you that next Tuesday is Election Day, so don't miss your opportunity to exercise your rights and cast your ballot. If you're a New Jersey voter, you can find your polling place here. Meanwhile, we're having a contest! Click here and enter to win two tickets to the Giants v. KC Chiefs on Nov. 19. Tell your friends who aren't already Wanderings subscribers, the contest is a perfect opportunity to sign up for both this newsletter and the ticket giveaway. So read on for this week's happenings as we welcome November. Happy Wanderings!
