Warren County Wanderings

“Chewie, we’re home.”- Hans Solo’s reference to his return to the Millennium Falcon with Chewbacca.

Do you think Hans would have said that about Warren County? That Chewie might have been at home in the forests of Northwest New Jersey? Though we are devoid of galactic thrills, we once again have a newsletter packed full of home county happenings.

You can choose to develop your art skills at Rutherfurd Hall or Propagate Studio. Man Skirt Brewing is thinking of mom this weekend with a Sip and Paint. Multiple wineries and Architects Golf Club are all featuring Mother’s Day activities including brunch, shopping, music and wine.

Maybe Mom wants to volunteer with Ridge and Valley Conservancy. Is Mom a history buff? She may like to visit Bread Lock Park or the Jim and Mary Lee Museum, Morris Canal sites open this Sunday after being shuttered by the pandemic.

Don’t forget! We get another helping of tacos on Thursday with Cinco de Mayo and celebrating all the moms in our lives this weekend.

Whatever you choose to do, May the 4th be with You, Happy Cinco de Mayo, Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Wanderings!

Coming Up

Create something beautiful for Mom with the help of Art-stitution. This class will include painting a vase and making a Mother's Day card.

Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome. All supplies included.

Come to Rutherfurd Hall for a painting class led by Art- stitution. Cost is $30 and includes all supplies. All ages and abilities are welcome. Feel free to BYOB and snacks.

Spring has sprung! Adventure into a how-to painting class and create a beautiful terrarium filled with cacti and succulents. You choose your background and plant colors. BYOB, snacks, and friends!

Cost is $35. Ages 10 and up.

May welcomes self-taught artist Linda Feula whose work is described as collage and mixed media environmental. All the proceeds from sale are going to the Foodshed Alliance. A reception will be included.
