Warren County Wanderings

“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.” - John Muir (1838-1914) Scottish-American naturalist, author, environmental philosopher, glaciologist, and early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the USA.

Saturday is National Trails Day, in honor of trails on public lands. Its purpose is to get people excited about the benefits of trails and spending time outdoors, as well as to bring awareness to trail issues. We think it's a great excuse for some wandering in Warren County, like at Jenny Jump State Forest (the photo shows the Swamp Trail there just a few days ago) or in one of the parks you'll find on the Warren Parks website. Or join one of the guided hikes you'll find when you read on! Meanwhile, farmers markets are opening for the season, the ballet is in town, and Shippen Manor is open for a special event. Say hello to June this weekend, and Happy Wanderings!
