Warren County Wanderings

Starting May 24, 2017

The willingness of America's veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude. - Jeff Miller, American Politician

Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial beginning of summer. While it does mean outdoor barbeques, the opening of swimming facilities, and that we can wear white shoes again, we hope you will set aside some time to reflect and honor on those who died in active military service for our country. The photo above depicts the Warren County War Memorial next to the County Courthouse in Belvidere. We have some Memorial events listed in Community Corner, but there may be other remembrances we're not aware of, so we invite you to explore your options.

Aside from some rain in the forecast for Sunday, the weather looks pretty good this weekend, so read on for more fun things to do! And start planning ahead, because lots of interesting happenings are on the horizon in Warren County. We also extend a special welcome to those who just signed up for Wanderings last weekend - we hope you enjoy it.

Happy Memorial Day, and as always, Happy Wanderings!

The park has been family-owned since Day One, specifically designed by an educator so parents and children could participate together.
