Moms should be celebrated every day, but this Sunday is set aside as their annual holiday. Herein you will find a few Mother's Day-themed activies listed, but there are surely many more brunches and other commemmorations happening, so by all means, reach out to your favorite local businesses to find out about any special offerings this weekend.

The weather forecast could be more appealing, but read on for plenty of indoor entertainment, whether you are fortunate enough to have special mother in your life or not. Happy Mother's Day, and Happy Wanderings!

Luigi's Rancho hosts JAZZ+WINE+TAPAS WEDNESDAY, featuring Dennis Melillo, guitar and vocals, with Gary Staples, piano.

WCARTS will host artist Anju Saran at their May 11th meeting. Anju has been drawn to art ever since she was a little child. She has gained expertise in various mediums such as Acrylic, Oil, Watercolor, Pastel and Charcoal.

"Mental Strength: How to Live a Happy and Successful Life in a Negative World" is the topic with speaker Lina Hollman, Positive Living Coach. Studies show that negativity affects your thoughts, health and the way you live.

Contemporary jazz and blues - no cover! Relax and soak in the soothing vocals of jazz and blues guitarist Lou Pompilio, a long-time favorite on the local circuit, who will be joining us at Nonpareil for two gigs in May.

This year's Sip and Art Soiree sessions will focus on learning about landscape painting and painting using a variety of mediums.
