“The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals”- Siddharth Katragadda, Indian-American writer
And boy, does Warren County have its share of festivals for you! At the forefront is ParkFest at Bread Lock Park this Saturday. After two years of being shut down, the Warren County Parks Foundation presents a day of culture and heritage featuring live music, food, crafts, demonstrations, walking tours and of course, the Explore Warren folks! The Warren Heritage Museum will be open displaying artifacts and working models about the county's rich history, and there is a lifesized canal boat replica in the park, too. Admission is free.
The Civil War comes alive at Shippen Manor with soldier encampments, rifle demonstrations, tours and kids activities and be on the lookout for The Lost Ramblers opening this year’s summer concert series in Plan Ahead.
VonThun Farms is continuing their Strawberry Fest this weekend as the fields are bursting with delicious red fruit just waiting to be picked. Or you can head over to Summerfield UMC for their annual Strawberry Fest which requires no picking at all, just a phone call to reserve your dinner spot! The Draught House, Villa Milagro, Roy’s Hall and Lopatcong Music in the Park are bringing music for all tastes, too.
Get out to explore all Warren County's culture. Happy Wanderings!
