"We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it." ~William Faulkner
This weekend and in the week ahead, as we celebrate the 241st anniversary of when our forefathers declared this to be a nation of free and independent states, we urge you to exercise your right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And there's no better place for that pursuit than beautiful Warren County, NJ, which, by the way, was named for prominent patriot and martyr of the Battle of Bunker Hill, Dr. Joseph Warren. We also hope that while enjoying some summertime fun, you'll keep in mind the sacrifices made nearly a quarter of a millenia ago to gain us our independence, and all that has been done since to preserve it. Read on for ideas of where you can celebrate the USA's birthday and other fun things you can do. Plus, summer is in full swing, so check out the list of public lakes and pools that is available by clicking here to the Explore Warren website. Happy Independence Day, and Happy Wanderings!
