In honor of tomorrow's Independence Day holiday, we'll start this weekend's Wanderings with a quote from the document that helped set this great nation on its course to freedom and independence, and with a photo of a splendid example of our national emblem, the bald eagle, taken right here in Warren County recently by Kent Sweigert. A Latin music artist who plays contemporary hits as well, Jesse likes to engage his audience by handing out percussion instruments and encouraging them to dance.

Relax to the sounds of the BC Combo. Live, cheerful, and upbeat music - $5 cover. Starting at Noon, On-site Chef Anthony Fiore will have the following culinary treats available for purchase: freshly made wood-fired pizza, caprese salad, paninis, and charcuterie.

The '50s, '60s and '70s music with classic country and more is the style that Janci and Berry bring to Four Sisters Winery.

With lavender in full bloom, enjoy a relaxing afternoon creating two beautiful scented projects from this fragrant herb. We will make a 6” heart-shaped fresh lavender wreath and a lavender wand woven with ribbon – delightful decorations for your home. Lavender refreshments will be served.

Relax to the sounds of Catmoondaddy. Wood-fired pizza, estate premium wine, and music will be available. Admission is as follows: ESTATE - $15 per person, flight of eight wines from our primary production and estate cuvées and music.

Join certified Yoga Teacher Kate McGuiness for a one hour, all levels Hatha Yoga class. All levels of experience are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing, bring water and a yoga mat. 

Singer guitarist, Bill Ihling started playing in bands back when Jimmy Carter was president. He grew up in the middle of the liberating '60s, but was made to listen to bands like Herb Albert and the Tijuana Band not "Rock & Roll".

Founded in 1981 by three high school friends, Zaire started as an acoustic trio, playing classic rock at local bars, restaurants and festivals with an emphasis on strong 3-part harmonies before going their separate ways. Regrouping in 2007, they’ve enjoyed playing at new venues in New Jersey as well as the Lehigh Valley, PA area to receptive audiences that appreciate the music and harmonies they capture. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket, pack a picnic if you like, and listen to classic rock favorites from The Eagles, Tom Petty, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Radiohead, Stevie Ray Vaughn and more as performed by Zaire.

Discover the wizarding world of Harry Potter in beautiful Warren County! For an eighth summer, Rutherfurd Hall, a spectacular Tudor mansion in Allamuchy, will be transformed into Hogwart’s Castle and becomes the setting for a Harry themed camp.

Come explore, experiment, and experience the outdoors! They will explore the local wildlife and create numerous crafts from natural materials. Campers will experiment with different types of hands-on rocket projects.

Bring your little farmer(s) to Donaldson Farms to enjoy a pony ride, hayride farm tour, horse/pony craft, a healthy snack, storytime and sandbox playtime. This session is limited to 28 participants.

Parents can enjoy a morning off while their kids enjoy a fun and educational morning filled with healthy activities and cooking! Class will include 25 minutes of fitness activities followed by recipe review, grocery shopping skills, nutrition lessons, food preparation and a healthy lunch.

Join certified instructors every Wednesday at 6pm for beginning yoga and Qi-Gong (2nd Wednesday of every month). Classes are $5 per person and held at the John R. Fisher Pavilion. Please bring your own mat (Yoga) and wear comfortable, non-constrictive clothing.

Relax and do some yoga every Wednesday evening beginning June 12 through September 18. Find your breathe and peace of mind as you practice yoga in the fresh air with sweeping views of our vegetable crop fields and fruit orchard and a chance to view a spectacular sunset!

Come see your favorite local farmers and food producers at the Blairstown Farmers Market! Open every Saturday from 9:30am-1pm.

The Farmers’ Market offers quality fruits and vegetables as well as specialty items with special events throughout the season. The weekly farmers’ market takes place every Saturday through the end of October, from 10am-2pm.

Saturday evenings between April and October 2019, the United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey (UACNJ) Observatory, located in Jenny Jump State Forest in Hope, NJ will be open.

Join us every Sunday for a great day of farm fresh food, amazing rustic decor, beautiful flowers and some adorable adoptable dogs. Open each Sunday 9am to 1pm until August 25.

A venue where local farmers, producers, and artisans come together to provide a variety of fresh produce and related products directly to the consumer. Open every Sunday, June-September.

This weekly Farmers’ Market offers quality fruits and vegetables as well as specialty items with special events throughout the season, from 10am-2pm every Saturday through September 26. The market runs along Route 57, anchored in the Pocket Park located at 44 E. Washington Ave. 

Community Corner

Asbury United Methodist Church holds its annual festival at Oxford Furnace Lake. One Hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Asbury UMC community based assistance missions, and the Oxford Lake Youth Organization who provides free programs for local Warren County youth.
