Warren County Wanderings

Starting July 27, 2022

"I'm just here for the fried food."- Anonymous

As a bunch of foodies here at Explore Warren, we are fired up about the hot, savory and sweet delicacies being served at the 84th Warren County Farmers’ Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival, kicking off this Saturday for a week long party, July 30 - August 6. Get your eatin’ pants ready for roasted corn on the cob from the Knowlton Lions Club (pictured above), burgers, BBQ, giant pickles, pies, popcorn, lemonade, cotton candy, ice cream sandwiches and more!

This year's fair features Rerun of Fair Queens Pageant as past fair royalty return to the hallowed grounds, the famed Demolition Derbies happening in the Main Arena, Kids Corral, the 4-H crowd, a car show and so much more. The hot air balloons will be taking off every night at 6:30pm, weather permitting.

Come by the “Warren County and You” government building at the fair (located behind the main grandstands on the Strykers Road side of the fairgrounds) to say hello to the Explore Warren team and enter to win a balloon ride for two and gift certificates to Well-Sweep Herb Farm and Centenary Stage Company.

And while you’re here in Wanderings, take a look around. There are great celebrations happening at Buttzville Brewing for their one year anniversary and Musconetcong Watershed Association is celebrating 30 years of watershed protection and stewardship at Donaldson Farms. Thomas the Tank Engine rolls into Delaware River Railroad Excursions for one weekend only in Plan Ahead and Mermaid Lessons are being offered at the Belvidere Community Pool in Community Corner.

Happy Fair and Happy Wanderings!
