This is it! The Big Week begins! That's right, the Warren County Farmers' Fair opens for the 80th time this Saturday and runs until the following Saturday, August 5. There's so much going on at the fair we will just advise you to click on their item below to read all about it. One of the big parts of the fair since 2001 is the Hot Air Balloon Festival, with just a couple of the many colorful balloons pictured here in this photo by Don Myles. And besides the fair there are events galore throughout Warren County, so read on, and Happy Wanderings!

Celebrating its 80th year of providing affordable family fun, the Farmers' Fair now includes the Hot Air Balloon Festival and the 20th Annual Traditional Arts Expo.

Join us here at the farm with Olga Tzogas of Smugtown Mushrooms for a lecture on the basics of mushrooms and fungi, their biology and how they exist in nature. Learn how to use fungi to build up our soils, reduce erosion, supply us with food and even medicine.

Indoor, outdoor and cabaret seating available, held rain or shine, as Nancy, Spencer and their Quartet present lively jazz and vocal harmonies. Gates open 5pm for the 6pm concert. Bring a picnic!

Start with a one-hour tour of the wine cellar including a tasting paired with cheeses, followed by a two-hour Glass Sip and Paint event. All guests will receive two stemmed wine glasses for painting.

Jamfest continues with an invasion from “across the pond” with three shows in one as audiences experience an amazing nostalgic journey through the '60s and celebrate a groovy generation. Starting with the classic songs of iconic British groups - the bad boy soul of The Rolling Stones, the defiant anthems of The Who, the raw and powerful guitar sounds of The Kinks, the flower power grooves of The Zombies, and the uplifting pop of Herman’s Hermits - the program then shifts to the celebrated American artists influenced by the British sound (The Beach Boys, The Monkees, The Doors and Steppenwolf) before wrapping up with music from the four lads who started it all: The Beatles.

A mix of classic rock, southern rock, country, pop, and everything in between. If you're up for a night of dancing, you've found your band! 

The car show is back! Last year htere were more than 130 vehicles and 30 motorcycles. Hoping to break 200 this year! Car, truck, motorcycle, antique firetruck, and antique tractor classes. Custom made trophies. Day-of-show registration: $25.

The night sky as seen from the United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey observatories

The United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey provides free public programs at the UACNJ Observatory in Jenny Jump State Forest from April through October on Saturday evenings. This week's program is: "Eclipses, Occultations, and Transits" with Gregg Waldron, NWJAA.
