Are you ready for the annual Warren County Farmers’ Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival? If not, no worries! The dual event does not kick off until next weekend, running July 30-August 6. We don’t mean to tease you, rather give you time to prepare! If you’ve ever considered entering a contest – perhaps noticing a blue ribbon or two while strolling through the Home & Garden Building, and thought you could produce something better – we say go for it! Speaking from experience, participating in a bit of friendly competition at the Fair adds an extra dimension of fun to the whole experience. Think about it. There is something for all ages. Even if you decide against throwing your hat in the ring, you may want to use it as a guide to plan your visit(s), and observe some live competitions as they unfold.
This weekend’s major highlights include Destination Motown featuring the Sensational Soul Cruisers at Centenary Stage Company (a climate-controlled theatre), and the 4th Annual Food Truck Festival at Donaldson Farms, celebrating The Arc of Warren County. And – please forgive us if we sound like a broken record – but we recommend you keep tabs on the “Continuing” section down below for all kinds of recurring events offered at the same location, but with a different theme or entertainer each week.

It’s mermaid season and the Belvidere Community Pool is excited to have Mermaid Sandy for mermaid lessons. One of the more popular and fun toys this summer are swimmable mermaid tails that can be dangerous if a child doesn’t know how to swim in them correctly.
