A glance at the photo above may cause one to ponder: "Gee, that looks relaxing... wait, why is her shirt all ripped?" Because, dear Wanderers, this is a screen shot from the original (1980) slasher film, Friday the 13th, shot in and near Warren County's very own Blairstown. And the town certainly knows how to celebrate the occasion! (Photo ops, meet & greets, trolley tours, film screenings, etc.) So much so, it needs its very own special section in this week's newsletter: click here for the lowdown on Friday the 13th events in the Blairstown area. A beautiful scene for a fun race! This sprint triathlon has been called "the hidden gem" of NJ races. It tours the surrounding area of Mountain Lake in Liberty Township. After a half mile swim in the pristine lake, get ready for some ups and downs in the 15 mile bike ride.
