It's your first Warren County Wanderings of the new year, and we realize a lot of people are hunkering down, whether due to the weather, or the pandemic. But there are some things you can do! Our snowy photo was taken last year on the Appalachian Trail along the Kittatinny Ridge, overlooking the greater Blairstown area. Did you know that Mohican Outdoor Center has snowshoes that you can borrow at no charge (the very ones pictured here, plus many more) and see if snowshoeing is right for you? Their snowshoe weekend event next month is already sold out, but once the white stuff falls (and we feel it in our bones, it's coming soon!) head there, spend some time in the woods, and then check our the big fireplace and comfy couches in this Appalachian Mountain Club lodge located right here in Warren County. Read on for more ideas, including the upcoming January Thaw concerts at Centenary Stage Company, and an opportunity to participate by telling your heritage story. Happy Wanderings!
