Technically speaking, this is the last weekend of autumn... but it feels like winter, and signs of the coming holidays are all around us! You can continue to get into the holiday spirit with two different productions of A Christmas Carol, that perennial favorite The Nutcracker, or perhaps a visit to the Christmas in the Country Trail in the Belvidere area. "Jazz+Wine+Tapas Wednesday" at Luigi's Rancho, located just outside of Belvidere, NJ, on Route 46. Luigi's Rancho has been an institution in Warren County since the early 1930s.

The Rock Creek Tavern, Warren County's newest spot for night life, hosts "The Karl Jam" open mic/jam session every Thursday night. Running from 7-11 p.m., The Karl Jam is hosted by Karl Dietel, a longtime supporter of local music and one of the best keyboard players around.

Live music at the historic inn, a restored 1769 stone gristmill, features pianist Tony Bartone in the upstairs dining room on Saturday evenings.
