Warren County Wanderings

Starting August 7, 2019

“Summer had a way of being full of fun and things to do and plenty of times of doing nothing and feeling bored.” - Sofi Benitez, author, from her book Dog Daze in the "Honey Moon" series

As we hit the dog daze of summer (which actually has to do with the dog star, Sirius, and its position in the heavens, and not the heat) we think there's no reason to be bored! There's plenty to do in this beautiful corner of the Garden State. You'll find festivals, nature, music and more in this week's Warren County Wanderings. Speaking of the Garden State, sweet corn and peaches abound right now, take advantage at the community farmers markets listed below or consult our Farms and Markets directory here. And if you need to cool off, like this beaver that Kent Sweigert photographed while it took a swim in the Delaware River, head to our Lakes and Pools page to find your favorite swimming hole. Meanwhile, we'd like to give a warm welcome to all the new Wanderers who signed up for this newsletter at last week's Warren County Farmers' Fair. Stay cool, and Happy Wanderings!
