“Summer’s lease hath all too short a date.” - William Shakespeare
We may want to believe that summer will last forever, but in fact Labor Day is just around the corner and outdoor summertime activities are winding down. While there are some great events coming up in September, if you’ve been meaning to get to a free outdoor concert, or to check out Friday Nights at Donaldson Farms, you have only a couple more chances to do so! Plus, there is just one more Late Night Thursday in Hackettstown (tomorrow), so get moving! (Or get exploring, as we like to say around here.)
This weekend’s special events include the Warren County Antiques Show (pictured - visit its Facebook page for $1.00 off admission fee); a Comedy Night at Invertase Brewing to benefit Family Promise of Warren County; the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians Open House, which includes operation of the Centerville and Southwestern Miniature Railroad; and Sunday Fun Day at the New Jersey Sunflower Trail.
As always, keep an eye on the Plan Ahead section, and do just that. Happy last week of August, and Happy Wanderings!
