Warren County Wanderings

“The only kind of sunsets I don’t like are the ones I missed.” – Anonymous

Thank goodness for beautiful sunsets, even though they are occurring earlier each day as summer starts to fade away. But this sunset photo courtesy of Race Farm reminds us that there are still plenty of veggies and farmer markets open to keep those warm summer vibes going a bit longer.

The Warren County Antiques Show - featuring hundreds of vendors, as well as repair artisans available to fix your priceless items - will set up shop at the fairgrounds this Saturday. Enjoy another weekend of Barefoot Grape Stomping at Four Sisters Winery, as well as music from Rich Berry and Joe Izen. Villa Milagro’s Concert Under the Stars is back featuring classic rock music from Full Grown Men.

Warren County's bicentennial is approaching in 2025, and the first of many commemorative events to get the party started is listed in Plan Ahead. Gather up your chairs and blankets for a free concert in Garret D. Wall Park featuring Drew Nugent and The Midnight Society, a “hot jazz” combo performing on September 1. In fact, there are quite a few events on tap in the beautiful county seat of Belvidere, so keep an eye out! And, if you haven't yet headed to Shippen Manor for one of its Summer Lawn Concerts, time's a-wastin'! There are only three more performances before the series concludes on September 4. The Ramsaysburg Summer Concert Series is also winding down, with Alex Radus playing this Sunday, and one more artist coming in October.

Even though seasons change, there's always something happening in your perennial Warren County Wanderings! Happy Sunsets and Happy Wanderings!
