Warren County Wanderings

April 2023

"April, the angel of the months, the young love of the year." - Vita Sackville-West (1892-1962) English author and garden designer

April is heating up, both literally and figuratively, as the county begins to bloom with activity! Donaldson Farms Market opens today and took the top spot as this week’s newsletter photo.

Wanderings is migrating to a monthly schedule, rather than weekly, starting with this April issue. But please keep checking our calendar, as it will be updated with events continuingly. If you’re looking for Easter events this weekend, check out the Easter page.

Wishing you great weekend filled with family, friends and joy! Happy Passover, Happy Easter, and Happy Wanderings!

Coming Up

Centenary's Women's Playwright Series is back every week in April, this year featuring four shows. The WPS is a developmental program dedicated to providing a working forum for the unique and under-served voice of women writing for the theatre today. Each season new plays are selected for a collaborative workshop process, with a professional director and actors, which takes place in a brief rehearsal period of approximately one week, allowing time for the playwright to hear and adapt their work with other professionals. The process culminates in a presentation of the work for the general public as part of the series, giving CSC audiences larger exposure to new work. In this week's feature Abducted, a successful businesswoman and mother of two grown children is preparing for her 'departure' while her brother fights to get her psychiatric help, her boyfriend wants to reclaim the women with whom he fell in love and her son wants to go with her. Is this departure being forced upon her or does she wish to live life on her own terms?
