Hello, September! A bridge between summer and fall, the upcoming month can accommodate those who are sad to see summer go as well as those clamoring for pumpkin spice everything and crisp autumn air. (You know who you are.) We like this photo from Donaldson Farms, as a nod to the emerging apple season (and Apple Harvest Weekends) as well as a salute to the red, white and blue in honor of Labor Day.

Held each Saturday in downtown Washington borough through September 30, the market runs along Route 57, anchored in the Pocket Park located at 44 E. Washington Ave.
