Saying Goodbye to 2020

Warren County Wanderings

"If you fell down yesterday, stand up today." - H.G. Wells (1866-1946), prolific English writer, often called the "father of science fiction"

This year has been like a work of science fiction, hasn't it? Had we been told a year ago what 2020 would bring, most of us wouldn't have believed it. But we survived, so let's stand up today and welcome 2021 with open arms! This issue is rather light, unsurprisingly, but we wanted to take the opportunity to wish all of our loyal Warren County Wanderers a happy, safe and healthy New Year. We look forward to sharing new adventures with you in the coming months! Happy New Year, and Happy Wanderings!

More Things to Do

A special New Year's Eve Treat! This week's virtual Lawn Concert features Paddy and the Pale Boys, who, in the event you weren't aware, is Your Favorite Irish Band. The lads have been at it since 1997, performing their unique arrangements of the  music of Ireland and Scotland, along with American favorites while also introducing the band's own original songs. Performing are Martin O'Connor, vocals, bass; Mike Hoffman, vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo; Ray Hoffman, keyboard, fancy vest and bow tie; Clobberin' Bobby McGhee, drums; with special guest Shane Dunn, guitar. The virtual concerts are offered in lieu of the annual Lawn Concert Series that was sidelined in the COVID-19 pandemic. The Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of the Department of Land Preservation, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, invites you to enjoy online concerts by the bands that were scheduled to perform. Find the performance by Paddy and the Pale Boys here.
