Some Like It Hot June 2024

Warren County Wanderings

"Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June." - Al Bernstein, American sportscaster, writer, stage performer, recording artist, and speaker.

June is coming in hot, and Wanderings has all the cool places to be, like paddling with the Delaware River Sojourn June 14-22 as they cruise down the Delaware with guides and a safety crew, as pictured above. You can paddle for just one day or as many as you like, and pick a single or tandem boat or bring your own. If the river isn’t calling your name, we've compiled a list of Warren County's favorite Swimming Destinations and Ice Cream spots so take a gander!

Warren County Hot Air Balloons, Arts and Crafts Festival is taking place this weekend at the Warren County Commnity College, and Explore Warren has free tickets for admission and tethered balloon rides! Send us an email at tourism@co.warren.nj.us with a subject line that reads "Take me Ballooning" for your chance to win! Specify whether you need admission and tethered rides for 2, 3 or 4 people - we've got a ticket for 2, two sets of tickets for 3, and one for a group of 4 so you can bring friends and family along. This is a first come, first served offer, so don't delay if you want to attend the balloon festival on us! Parking is included, too.

Don't miss the More Things To Do section featuring Warren County Habitat for Humanity Community Center events in June and Summer Activities for the Kids. And National Trails Day is Saturday, so get out there to celebrate our beautiful rural spaces!

We’re also highlighting Father’s Day with events around the county and, seeing as it's a couple of weeks away, the page is a tad sparse so continue to check the calendar as more events pop up.

With that, we'll let you get to reading and wandering!

Happy June, Happy Father's Day and Happy Wanderings!
