Centenary Stage Company wraps up its 2020 January Thaw Music Festival with Sam Reider and the Human Hands. A jazz pianist turned folk musician, Sam Reider has spent the last eight years redefining American roots music on the accordion. An award-winning composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer, he was awarded "Best Americana Album" by the Independent Music Awards for his work with Silver City Bound and has toured as a musical ambassador for the U.S. Department of State in eight countries overseas. Meanwhile, the Human Hands are a collective of virtuoso acoustic musicians based in New York City who have developed a cultish following and a reputation for mind-bending sets of high-energy, improvised music.

Drummer Nick Scheuble began a distinguished career as both a sideman and a bandleader and brings a quartet featuring Tomoko Ohno, an accomplished pianist and composer, on piano; Max Morden, noted for his abilities to cross genres from baroque to jazz to Broadway, on trumpet; and Tim Givens, who currently plays with New York Electric Piano and the Cecilia Coleman Quintet, on bass.

Four Sisters Winery is popping the cork on its recently released sparkling wine, Maggie's Magic. Made from the Vidal Blanc grape, it has a semi-dry, light crispy finish with a delightful fizz that lingers on the palate.
The PVTC, a Friends Organization of the Kittatinny Valley State Park, will host a 4-5 mile hike along the Paulinskill Valley Trail.  The trail is cinder-based which provides easy, level walking. Meet at Footbridge Park in Blairstown; bring lunch and a drink. Due to the trail being near hunting areas, please wear an upper garment that is blaze orange or some other bright color.
