The annual Open House at Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center is a great way for people of all ages to celebrate spring's arrival. Free and held rain or shine, the event features many environmental and conservation exhibits, historical reenactors, wildlife artists, carvers and taxidermists with goods and services to sell. Activities include fishing for kids between the ages of 6 and 16, archery ranges for those 10 years and older, hunter education (pre-registration required), and more, plus a sportsmen's flea market so you can purchase what you need to get started or to stock up for the upcoming fishing and hunting seasons.
