Centenary University Lecture Series: Chronic Stress in Childhood: Negative Health Effects Across the Lifespan Speaker: Tara Veerman, PhD, Associate Professor of Social Work and Sociology
Centenary Stage Company kicks off this year's Women Playwrights Series with a staged reading of Darrah Cloud's play inspired by the stories of the first US Women's Gymnastics Team and their journey to the controversial 1936 Berlin Olympics. Seating is limited so please reserve, and a $5 donation per ticket is requested. Initiated in 1992, the WPS is dedicated to providing a working forum for the unique voice of women writing for theatre today, and has helped to develop the work of over 60 playwrights from around the country, producing more than 14 world premieres on the CSC mainstage. Staged readings are followed by a lively discussion with the playwrights and casts. Other WPS events are Havana Orthodoxy by Vita Patrick Morales on April 18 and Another Revolution by Jacqueline Bircher on April 25.

This Warren County Arts group meeting will feature a demonstration of Encaustic Painting by artist Maria Filosa. Maria Filosa was born in New York in 1957 and currently resides in Bangor, PA.
