In this fly tying class, Wildlife Conservation Corps volunteers Pierre Benoist and Jim Flatley will discuss basic fly tying techniques and equipment, as well as teach you how to tie some basic beginner flies. This program is the last class in a series of seven fly fishing/tying classes.
Kerry Adams, a practicing herbalist of 36 years will present a lecture on using nature’s pharmacy for specific treatments. You will learn how to make your own creams and salves for topical applications. Reservations are required. $24.
Learn the basics of fishing in this hands-on session. Topics will include fish biology and identification, casting techniques, equipment, knot tying and more. Discussions will be followed by an actual trout fishing experience in our Education Pond.
