Warren County Community Singers Looking for New Members
After a successful Winterfest, the Warren County Community Singers are preparing for Springfest and currently have open enrollment for adult singers. WCCS is a non-audition group that rehearses at the First Presbyterian Church, 40 Church Street, Washington, every Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Singers are under the direction of Hunter Chadeayne and accompanied by Ann Hoy. Participation requires a $55 music fee.
The Children’s Chorus of Warren County is also open for enrollment and is under the direction of Mariah Adams, long-time choral music teacher at Allamuchy School. Children ages 7 through 13 with unchanged voices can register for $25 now through October. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m.
The Children’s Chorus of Warren County is sponsored by the WCCS and the singers are funded in part by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts through the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of the county Land Preservation Department.
