Kicking off another season at the historic Ramsaysburg Homestead is Yarn, an Americana/jam/rock group based out of Brooklyn and Raleigh. They have made their mark and have a large local following.
The Friends of Ramsaysburg Concert Series is Back!
Bring a chair or blanket and kick off your summer with a monthly concert series starting May 15 with Americana jam band Yarn spinning their true and fictional tales on the stage at the Ramsaysburg Historic Homestead. These concerts, held at the Riverside Amphitheater along the Delaware River, are free and made possible by the dedicated volunteers of The Friends of Ramsaysburg. Pets are welcome on leashes and parking is limited. There is a suggested donation of $10 per person.
Toby Walker, native of Denville, New Jersey, is an award winning and seasoned acoustic blues player and historian coming to the historic homestead June 25. He’s traveled the back roads in the Deep South seeking out the front porch pickers and real root blues. Prior to his show at Ramsaysburg, he’ll be leading a one hour workshop.
July 16 welcomes the Karl Latham Quartet, a swing jazz show featuring one of the world’s top drummers Karl Latham, Martin Pizarrelli, son of Bucky Pizzarelli, on upright bass, guitarist David O’Rourke and a clarinetist to be announced.
Contemporary jazz guitarist Alex Radus and his band will take the stage August 28. His work has been featured in movies, television and radio.
October 1 features songwriter Don Elliker and his band “Me and My Big Ideas,” mainly an Americana band with a hint of other genres.
September’s music is still being finalized.
The Ramsaysburg Historic Homestead property, located at 140 Route 46 East in Delaware, New Jersey, is what remains of a fifty-acre tract settled in 1795 by Irish immigrants James and Adam Ramsay. It is leased by the Township of Knowlton from the State of New Jersey Green Acres program. The concert grounds are part of the 12-acre historical park along the Delaware River.

This seasoned acoustic blues player from Denville, NJ is an accomplished and award winning blues player and historian. Toby has spent many years traveling the deep back roads of the south seeking out the real blues first hand.
This swing jazz show features Karl on the drums, Martin Pizarrelli on upright bass, Guitarist David O’Rourke and a Clarinetist to be announced. Karl has been recognized as one of the world’s top drummers by multiple publications and has played with numerous Jazz artists.
Alex is a contemporary/jazz influenced guitarist who will be performing with his band, Hot4Robot. His work has been featured in film, radio and television.
